Recap Arizona

It has been a month and a half now since we've been back from Arizona and I haven't taken the time to post about our ventures. First of all I cannot find all of my pictures that I took. They won't pull up on our computer, so more than half of the pictures are missing (I hope I can find them, because they've been deleted off of the memory card). These pics are the last two days there when Jason came to pick us up. We had lots of fun swimming as you can see. The kids all except Cole picked up on swimming like they had been in a pool since they were born (this was a miracle because they use to be deathly afraid of the water and would cling to the sides of any pool as if the water was going to eat them alive even with a life jacket on). I was so excited to see them make this huge progress!!!! The kids all got to spend time with their cousins, and I got to spend time with my mom and my sister, her kids, my sister in laws, and all their kids, and okay all my family. It was so much fun I didn't want to come back home. I did miss Jason and I was extremely excited to see him I hadn't seen him for six whole weeks!!! My sister, mom, sister in laws, and I all decided to take on some sewing projects needless to say I only got 2 skirts and one dress done for Ashlyn, and I still have one more dress to sew which is still in Arizona because I'm a newbie at sewing and have no clue what I'm doing so my mom is going to finish it. My sister also had a gazillions of dresses (she has three little girls) she is a newbie at sewing too so my mom has her hands full for a while. My sister lives clear across the country and left my mom with her unfinished projects as well. I'm glad my mom sews so we can eventually get our cute projects done sometime!!
Anyway the first couple days were busy with the wedding of my brother and now sister in law, then we went to a resort and played in the pools everyday for a week (I really hope I find my pics on my computer). This resort was gorgeous and there were little bunnies that were just hopping around on the grass like they were people too, I had never seen anything like it before, it was cool! The boys spent two weeks at their cousins house they went camping, played, went to the movies, swam like little fishies (their cousins have a pool), and had a blast! Us girls and Cole had just as much fun, we went swimming, did a little shopping, and ate lots of junk food because we stayed up late every night talking and trying to get sewing done. Being with the family was just great!! I will cherish the memories created and can't wait to go and visit again!!

Book of Mormon Youth Conference

To start things off, I was in Arizona when a member of the stake presidency called Jason to ask us if we would be tribe leaders for the Book of Mormon Youth Conference. We would be gone for 3 days which would require Jason to take time off of work w/out pay and to arrange for someone to watch our 4 kids during that time too. At first I was a little worried about how we would make things work and Jason had to remind me that everything would be okay. We knew we should go, and so we said yes we would do it.
We absolutely loved it!! We were blessed with the best group of kids EVER!! We had 9 kids that we were in charge of so we were like their mom and dad. I was amazed at how strong spirited they all were. We were busy the whole entire time. Activities included many scenes reenacted from the Book of Mormon, the Iron Rod experience, water games, Battle with Nephites & Lamanites, and a service project, and each tribe had to do a skit about a story from the Book of Mormon. We are so, so, so, glad that we were chosen and we know that it was meant to be. The kids touched our hearts and we hope to stay in contact with them. The stake leaders and all that helped were amazing too, and the conference was held with our stake and another stake so there were lots of people. We will never forget this wonderful experience it was a blessing!!!

Time has sort of gone fast!

I can't believe how fast time goes by. I have been so busy the past month I'm surprised I'm still alive! It has been good or better I should say. With the kids getting closer to being done with school and a new church calling it has been busy busy busy. We are going to be seeing my side of the family soon. My younger brother is getting married yeah!!! The kids and I are going to vacation for a while with my side of the fam, while Jason has to come back home to slave away for our family!!! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband!!! Thanks so much for letting us go and play (when that time gets here).
We have been doing good, I have a better attitude about the way things have been going and I know the Lord will provide a way for all things, I know He is mindful of our needs and wishes!! I am learning a lot with my calling and it's good for me, it is definitely a learning and strengthening experience. Although I have to say I learned a lot with my prior calling as well it was good too. I loved those I served with and gained a great friendship with them, which will continue on. I am loving those I am serving with now too, and I am gaining a friendship with them they are amazing!!!

Answers anyone?

Why is it that when the rough gets going it never seems to end, that is my question? So we have had trial after trial in our lives and just when we thought it was our turn for victory we got the short end of the stick. Sometimes I just have to express myself in words to get the frustration off of my shoulders for the time being.
I am so thankful for a loving family and for my testimony of the gospel. Without those I would be so completely lost. We all go through different trials at different times in our lives and some of the trials I have been grateful for (I know that sounds crazy, but I learn from them). I just wish I knew when our turn for victory was near. I guess that would make things to easy, so I'll keep being patient and try to become a better person as a whole. At least we are blessed with a roof over our head, jobs, food, clothes, and good health it could be worse, much worse. And I am a stay at home mom. So I really shouldn't complain at all. Sorry if you found this to be a boring read it just helps me feel better to write about it. Thanks for reading!

February already ?

I Can't believe that time is going so fast. Last month Jason and I celebrated our 13th anniversary and it was really nice. We just took it easy and went to a movie and dinner, it was so nice to go out on an actual date because that hardly ever happens. We go out but I don't consider going to the grocery store a date. We have fantastic kids that are always ready for us to go somewhere too. We've had quite the crazy last few weeks as well, but it's all good. We are definitely having our faith tested that's for sure. And I can't believe that the school year for the kids is half way over too. That just means I'm getting older aghhh scary!!!!

This is a picture of a couple of our kids going sledding at the home of our friends. We all had a great time and I found out that I am out of shape, I guess I need to start working out!!
