"I Think I Got Lost"

So we haven't had anything going on at all that is exciting to write about, but I haven't posted for so long I feel bad. I sometimes forget that I have a blog.
The last couple of months has been busy, we are trying to get all ready for Christmas & we're not even close yet. We only have a week and two days so I guess I better hurry!!
Last week 3 of our kids got sick a day apart from each other, 24 hr stomach flu, and yesterday and today I've been sick. Not fun, I was hoping mine would have been 24 hrs, so far I've gone over, but I think I'm on the downside of it. At least I'll be done with it before Christmas. I don't like being sick, because as a parent you never get a break there are always kids that need to be taken care of, dinner to be made, ect. The rest (sleep) never comes as one would hope. Maybe that's why it's taken longer for me to get feeling better. Enough rambling that is boring stuff.
I hope that everyone will have a great Christmas!

Slacker

So, I really don't think I'm going to get any better with my blogging. I just don't have much to post about, so I don't get motivated to do it. On the other hand I need to step it up a little, because I realize our blog looks quite boring with no new reads for forever!!!

School for the kids has already been going for little over a month now, whoa going to fast already. And they are all doing really well.
This is a picture of the sun one afternoon. It was red and looked so cool. And that's all I'm posting right now. Yep I know, kinda lame oooo I'll post again when I have a little more time. So hope you enjoy this little post for now!!!

Where did the summer go?

I have been TERRIBLE at posting, and taking pictures. Every time we go somewhere we always forget our camera. Very frustrating especially when we remember that we forgot it when we are halfway to our destination!!!
School has started for Cameron. Ashlyn and Austin start on Monday. Here we go for another busy year I hope I can handle it. I'm especially having a hard time letting go of Ashlyn we are so close I'm sad, but she is way excited!! I'll post pictures later.
The summer went by way to fast and for the first time ever I have not looked forward to having my kids go back to school. I really just want them to stay at home longer, now that I say that I'll probably change my mind. I am going to try and enjoy one last weekend of fun before all three go back on Monday!!

Air Soft Fun and OUCH!!

So Austin thought he was so sneaky getting the first shot off at me and as you can see in the video he nails me right in the rear and it actually left a welt. You can also see him running for his life too. All the other kids decided to shoot me too, even Michelle got me quite a few times. I have the welts to prove it. So as I started to get even I aimed at Michelle and her superpowers deflected the shot and I hit Cole in the neck and bottom of his earlobe on accident. The funny part was he was so mad and blamed it on Cameron. He kept saying "Daddy, Cameron shot me, Cameron shot me". I told him it was me, but he doesn't believe it. All-in-all we had a great time.

Bear Lake

Alright, so first of all we would like to say thanks to our friends Jon and Jalynn for always inviting and accepting us as part of their fam when we go to Bear Lake. We always have a blast (especially Jon in his lovely wetsuit!!) and never have a dull moment when we are there. The kids have sooo much fun playing in the sand and water. We played some games on the beach, roasted hot dogs, and told stories. What a blast!!!! Thanks again guys! P.S. The reason there are no pics of Michelle is because she thinks she doesn't look good in swimming clothing! But hey she looks great in the stick figure pic!!!

The Fourth of July

So, I am so mad!! I forgot to take our camera with us when we went to Idaho for the fourth of July, so I don't have any pictures. We were up in Idaho for 2 1/2 days. We spent our time there with my side of the family. My brother and sister in-law and their kids were up from Arizona (we hadn't seen them for a little over a year)and it was fun to see them. My Aunt Susan was there (she's from Utah we live two hrs away from her so don't see her very often). Both of our families and my Aunt stayed at my grandparents house. We hadn't seen my grandparents for a few months either. We went over to my cousins house the night of the 3rd for a BBQ and a firework show of our own. There were about 30-35 people there. My cousin and her husband went all out! They supplied all of the fireworks which were quite awesome if I do say so myself, the kids had a blast doing the sparklers and watching the show. It was fun to see my cousins as well we hadn't seen them for a long time either. My grandma & grandpa do a fourth of July breakfast every year for the family. They start out with a little flag ceremony and then we dig in to the yummy food!! One night My brother/sister in-law, Jason/I, my aunt, and my grandma stayed up past midnight playing deal or no deal on DVD. We had a lot of fun I love it that my grandma played with us!! Thanks grandma and grandpa for your hospitality! Thanks to everyone else for the good time.

stick figure

So, I have to say that Jason is the one who did the stick figure family. Can you ever see me in a bikini, ya me either. Only the hubby would think of that. He just laughed at my reaction when I saw my stick figure. What a goof ball!!

just for fun

Photo Doll at FreeFlashToys.com Who ever thought I'd be on the red carpet? I just wanted to do something fun, and what better way to do it than to use myself. That way I don't embarrass anyone else, or maybe hmmm.
Photo Doll at FreeFlashToys.com Okay, so I didn't want to be the only one. So I had a little fun creating one of Jason too! And maybe one of these years we can actually go to a tropical beach, I'd be up for that.

Bumps, bruises,& broken arm,

Well, we had an adventurous end of the school year. I'm a little late posting this, it happened three weeks ago. Cameron was on a field trip with his school class one week before school was to get out. His class had been out for the majority of the day when about an hour before it ended it happened. They were out on a mountain side looking for 150 million yr old fossils when Cameron slipped on the rocks and went tumbling down the mountain. He stopped right by a huge rock and in a tree branch that was sticking out. He was wearing a ball cap that day thank goodness because that prevented further injury than what he received. His head was cut open down to the skull, but he only had to have three stitches. If he wasn't wearing the hat it probably would have been much worse. His nose and a small spot on the side of his head were scratched up. His legs were scratched up, and to top it all off he broke his right arm. It was broken above the wrist and the doctors say he'll have to have a cast for 4-6 weeks. Poor kid, I'm amazed at how well he has done through all of this. He hasn't cried once he's pretty tough if you ask me. I know he was being watched over that day, what a blessing. We went up to where the accident took place and I couldn't believe that he didn't get hurt any worse. Here are some pictures.

School's out!!

I can't believe another school year has come and gone. I'm excited but yet maybe I'm not. I won't have to worry about doing homework for the kids, I think that teachers give the kids hard things so that the parents don't forget how to do the things they learned in school. I tell ya my third grader had a lot of hard projects almost every month. I know the kids learn a lot, but it burns the parents out! Our sixth grader on the other hand only had one project that he brought home out of the whole school year. I told him not to expect it to be like that from here on out. I won't have to be running around everyday either, just spending quality time with the kiddo's.
I'm not looking forward to hearing the words "I'm Bored What Can I Do"? It's already been said only once, and we are only on our third day of summer vacation. This month will be a busy month for our family though so I'm not to worried. I just have to be creative for the last month and a half of summer vacation to keep there little bodies and minds preoccupied. Wish me luck!!! P.S. This is a picture that I took one night a few weeks ago, the kids were suppose to be getting ready for bed. We were goofing around and this Isn't a good one of me at all I look like I have a double chin GROSS!! I wanted to put a pic of all the kids together and this is the only recent one I have, only I'm in it.

Changes

I was thinking about the past year and how things have changed. These pics were taken a year ago and it reminded me of how quickly time goes by. Our kids have grown, Jason and I have changed somewhat, and I can't believe it!! Before I know it our kids are going to all be grown and out of the house.

This time of year always has a big change for us. Because of where we live our lives are constantly being embraced by new people. I am sad to see all of the friends we have made move, but I am extremely excited for them too!! I can't wait until it is our turn to move on as well.
I keep telling myself it must not be time for us to move on, and we are needed here. I don't know why and I probably won't know until that time comes. So, I have to keep my head up and be grateful that I can look forward to watching my family change and grow. I love to be able to look back at years that have passed knowing that we made it to this point, and to remember the good times that we've had. Only to have continuous good times to look forward to.

My Man!!

I wanted to do a just because, for the love of my life. I Love him so so MUCH! I was sitting here thinking about life in general for my family and was reminded how grateful I am for my husband. He does so Much for our family, works incredibly hard to provide and support us in all of our daily tasks. Without him I would only be half of who I am. He loves us so much and does anything for our kids and I, not to mention he spoils me way beyond what I probably deserve, but that's what makes me love him even more. He is a great husband and father and I appreciate his great talents!! P.S. I think he is way "HoT" too, sorry if that's a little more than you all wanted to know, but I had to include it. I love you sweety!!

Black + White = F.A.N.C.Y.......DATE!!!

So, Jason & I decided we wanted to go out. BUT we didn't just want to go out we wanted to go ALL OUT!! You know if you stop and think about it, when was the last time you got all dressed up. Probably at your wedding. That's what we were thinking. So we set our minds out and about and decided we were going to do something fantastic and wonderful. We had some other friends that were going to go with us so their would have been six of us, and both couples crashed on us right before. The one couple a few days notice, the other couple a few hrs notice. They both had legitimate reasons so, we figured we could let them off the hook this time. Anyhow, on with our date just the two of us. We went out on Saturday (Easter Weekend) not purposly choosing this weekend, but it turned out great!!! We put on our recently purchased DUDS (we got amazing deals on them) and headed out to an Italian Restaurant called Le'Nonne's. It was DELICIOUS, they served us some bread with some olive oil green stuff to put on the bread. I thought it looked a little interesting to eat and it was yummy. Jason had spinach stuffed ravioli and I had penne pasta with diced pears. Oh my was it YUMMY to the tummy!! I have a story to tell. Jason's dish wasn't as big as mine. He was still hungry, I had only eatin maybe half of my dish and I was getting extremely full. Our server came to the table to ask if everything was okay and Jason proceeds to tell the server that he would like a penne pasta like mine. The server dashed off at once to get it ordered, I looked at him and started laughing. I thought he could have eatin the rest of mine, I couldn't eat it all. To late for that, his dish had already been ordered. It was funny because he was really THAT HUNGRY, I wondered what our server thought? What was even funnier was that he only had about six bites of the penne and he was FULL and couldn't eat any more. So we ended up bringing both of our leftovers home. After eating we decided to be adventurous and go to a play. Now, plays aren't our thing. We have never been to one or ever thought of going to one until now. We went to the Morgan Theatre and watched The Madwomen of Chaillot. Let me just say, it was very different. It had two acts with a 15 min. intermission. When intermission came we were trying to decide if we should stay or leave. We decided to stay because we wanted to see how it was going to end and because we spent the $ and figured we didn't want to waste it(even though we did waste it). All in all we were glad that we stayed and decided next time we'll do something more of our type. We would consider another play if we know it's a good one, maybe. That was our F>U>N evening and can't wait to get dressed up again another time hopefully with other people to join us!!

Update about my birthday!

Okay, so here are some pics of my b-day. Jason surprised me by decorating my car while I was at mutual. He left the flowers and the balloons inside the car. That really made my night!

I just wanted to say Thanks to a sweet and wonderful husband who spoils me. I have had a good birthday today!! He took last Friday night off so we could go have my birthday dinner, because he has to work all day today, including tonight. I have mutual anyway so it's all good. I've had phone calls from my family too. I got the wii fit, (more of a family thing) or is it a hint J/K, a jewelry box, and a cute shirt. I don't even feel older, or should I say I don't look older. Probably never will look my age oh well.

The Dance

So I really am alive. I just don't have much to post about, at least not anything exciting that is. I have been waiting for a picture to be e-mailed to me from a stake adult dance that our stake had about 3 weeks ago. But I haven't received it, so I'm guessing our e-mail got written down wrong. (They were taking pics for free and then they were going to e-mail them to us).
Anyhow, Jason surprised me on a Thursday by telling me he was taking Friday off so he could take me to the dance. I have wanted him to take me dancing for a long time. That's just not his type of thing to do. I couldn't believe it, I was so ExCitED!!!! That Friday night came and we got our best dress on and went dancing. We went to one of the rooms at the stake center where they were teaching swing ( I think that's what it was). Once we felt confident about our SweeT MoveS we headed out to the dance floor. They had a live band too. I loved every minute of it, we laughed so much that night my face was sore. I should have worn steel toed shoes Jason was stepping on my toes a lot. Okay he wasn't that bad, I have to give him a hard time!! We enjoyed spending that time together doing something we haven't done since high school, it was well worth it!!

Super Sat.

Wow, we just went to Salt Lake with the youth of our ward for our Super Saturday. It was a very busy day, but it was a great day!! We went to the Joseph Smith movie I highly recommend that to everyone it is a very touching and uplifting movie. Had a tour of the conference center, went to eat at Tucanos, rode the Trax, and then went to the Jazz game which they won!! Afterwards we stopped and got some frozen custard. By the time I got home I was totally wiped out. It was definitely a long, but great day. I enjoyed getting to know the leaders, and kids a little bit better. We had a couple of people that weren't able to join us (one of them a leader, she was out of town), but we know they were there in spirit. Thanks everyone for making it so much fun!!!

The best of times.

I have one thing I'd like to share that was very exciting this last weekend. Jason and I just celebrated our 12th anniversary on Jan. 24. It was GREAT!! We went to lunch, went ice skating after that (I fell once and just embarrassed myself, but it didn't hurt) and then Jason took me shopping I got a new outfit for church picked out by Jason it is very CUTE. And I got a few shirts. He also spoiled me with new earings. I LOVE him so much! He is so kind. He didn't want me to get him anything I had to at least get him a card so I did!!! Thanks so much to a wonderful Husband, Father, and especially friend. I love you more than words can express!!! We forgot to take our camera so their aren't any pics.

Christmas

Santa, found us.... We had a really good Christmas. The kids were happy and the parents were too. That's important you know. Santa spoiled us with some fun gadgets. Santa also spoiled me. He got me five pair of jeans, and a really cute jacket. Jeans scare me because they never fit right, I'm to short. These jeans however fit. A few just have to be altered length wise (imagine that). I was very impressed thanks sweety, I mean Santa. I also got bread pans, they were badly needed. The kids have had a good time being out of school and don't want to have to go back so soon. This holiday went way to fast. We hope everyone else had a good Christmas!!

Friends

Here we have our really good friends that live in Texas now. We were sooooo excited to see them. It was funny. We knew they were coming up this way for Christmas, but didn't know exactly when they would be here. So, the Sunday before Christmas we get to church about, we'll say a few minutes late sit down (on one of the benches in the back in the middle section) and what to our wondering eyes to our right there was Brad (Katie was out galyvanting, but later joined him). It was a GREAT surprise to us we loved it!!! On Monday, they came and visited with us. It was so good to chat and catch up on things. Thank you so much for taking the time to come over and visit. We loved every minute of it. It really meant a lot to us!!! We appreciate our friendship!!! Miss you guys

Snow

Well, I'm definitely behind on my blogging. I can't believe how fast time goes by. It's been almost a month since our last post aahh! The snow brought much ExcIteMenT to our house. The kids were excited to go and play in it. Cole had his first experience with the snow. They all had a lot of fun.You know sometimes I wished I was a kid again. They get to have all the fun, okay we can have fun too, but I was a wimp and didn't want to brave the cold. It was good just watching. Of course with Cole we couldn't leave him unattended. And he had to come in earlier than the others because it was too cold!!! He wasn't happy with us, he wanted to stay out.
