Christmas
Well, Christmas is approaching rather soon. My little boy said the cutest thing last night. He said he is ready to have Christmas be over. I was a little surprised by his comment. I asked him why he was ready to have it be over? He said because he already has enough toys and doesn't need any more. I thought that was the sweetest thing. I guess that what we've taught our kids about the true meaning of Christmas, really did sink into our youngest. You never know what they think or understand, but they understand more than we give them credit for. I'm grateful for such sweet and understanding kids! I hope everyone has a merry Christmas!!

Sorry about the different text styles in the previous post. I want the entire post in the cute font, but it will only do parts of it. It's really annoying and weird! It seems to have worked on this post.
happenings at our house
Well I can't believe we're already into September. Austin got his drivers permit when he turned
15. He doesn't take drivers ED until Feb/March, but he is suppose to
have the permit six months before taking drivers ED. We let him drive
Jason's car the day after he got his permit, and let me tell ya Scary!!
He already wrecked the car. We had to replace the front right quarter panel, and we have to buy a new headlight eventually, the one we have is broken in a spot behind the headlight but at least Jason was able to get it to stay in place for now. He also popped/ripped the right front tire. The new quarter panel is black primered, the rest of his car is white, so I call it the cow car. Oh well, the car will eventually be Austins anyway, but not for a while. He wanted to drop out of drivers ed after that, but that thought only lasted about a week. Now he wants to drive again. Do we dare???? I want to say just kidding but in a way I'm not. We've let him drive again, he needs lots of practice in a Big parking lot with no cars. He'll get it eventually or so we hope :)
Cameron is taking band this year. He wanted to play the trumpet and so now we get to hear all the loudness that comes with those. I'm glad he wanted to learn an instrument. Nothing dramatic with Cameron, and that's just fine.
Ashlyn and Cole are both at the same school. I'm happy for that, she is just like a mother to him. She gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek when she takes him to his classroom, and tells him to have a good day. I think that is so sweet, I'm glad she watches over him for me while he's there. He's just in kindergarten so he's not there to long, he's having lots of fun so far. Ashlyn is having fun as well!!

?????
Well, it's been probably 9 months since my last post. Summer is half way over already, I can't believe it! We've been staying busy. Austin went on trek last week, he was run over by the cart/wagon he was pulling. They say it had probably 100 lbs on it, he was being watched over because all he sustained was a little scab on his elbow and a bit of a sore leg. He was a real trooper. He had a great time. His birthday was on the day they left and so we celebrated it the night before. He's 15 yrs old, where is the time going? Now he and Cameron are at scout camp all week this week. I only have the little ones at home and its been a lot quieter believe it or not.
Cole will be in kindergarten this school yr, so I will be in the car the majority of the day. Kindergarten is the yr I kinda dislike in a way because you just drop your kid off and have to turn back around an hr later to go back and get them. Oh well, I'm having a bit of a difficult time grasping the fact that my youngest is going to be in school. It's crazy how attached you get to them being with you at home all the time. He's been my little side kick since Ashlyn started going to school and now I'm going to be all alone. I had a hard time when Ashlyn went to kindergarten too. It wasn't as hard sending Cameron and Austin though. I'm guessing its because I knew I still had two other little ones at home with me and so I wasn't alone. Now that Cole will be gone that just reassures me that my kids are growing up and getting older and so am I, (well the getting older part). I want to treasure my time I have with them. It's as President Monson said enjoy the hand prints while they're there (or something like that, can't remember exactly how he said it). I love being a mom though it's not always easy, it is such a blessing.
